    Tongcheng Six-Foot Lane – Six-Foot Lane Two-Office Negative-Pressure Drainage Project

Project Overview: The Shengli Street Historical and Cultural Block covers an area of 15.06 hectares, with a core protection zone along the street spanning 4.19 hectares. This includes the renovated and restored areas of the Two Mansions in Liu Chi Alley, as well as the Shengli Street Core Protection Zone. Originally, the district featured a combined sewer system, with only stormwater and sewage channels, along with a water supply network laid beneath the streets. Other utility networks—such as electricity and telecommunications—were entirely installed overhead. To minimize damage to historic buildings and reduce excavation work, the project adopts a vacuum-based wastewater collection system.

Construction details: Approximately 763 meters of new vacuum main pipelines, about 1,766 meters of vacuum branch pipelines, along with 44配套 vacuum wells and 6 large-capacity vacuum collectors.

Construction Outcome: The implementation of this project successfully collects domestic wastewater from the renovated and restored areas of the Six-Foot Alley's two official residences, preserving the original appearance and historical integrity of the ancient buildings while ensuring that all internal sewage is thoroughly captured. This has created an excellent tourism environment for visitors who come to explore the site.
