    • Description
    •    Overview

        The Roots vacuum pump is a positive-displacement rotary vacuum pump that operates without internal compression, also known as a mechanical booster pump. It is an ideal choice for rapidly evacuating gases from sealed containers to achieve high vacuums. In vacuum engineering applications, it is typically connected in series with other pumps—such as liquid-ring vacuum pumps, air-cooled Roots vacuum pumps, oil-sealed rotary vane pumps, and dry vacuum pumps—to form a comprehensive vacuum system. These pumps are widely used across various industries, including electronics, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, metallurgy, food processing, textiles, and environmental protection.

         Features

        ◆ Offers a high pumping speed over a wide pressure range—acting like an "accelerator" for the primary pump, boosting both its pumping capacity and ultimate vacuum level.

        ◆ The pump’s internal moving parts operate without friction and require no lubrication, while the pump chamber remains oil-free, ensuring a clean vacuum is achieved.

        ◆ The vertical flow of gas within the pump chamber facilitates the removal of dust and condensates from the pumped gas.

        ◆ The fully symmetrical and precisely dynamically balanced rotor ensures smooth, reliable operation. Its compact design requires minimal drive power, resulting in low operational and maintenance costs. Important Notes

        ◆ Must not be used alone when starting from atmospheric pressure; a forepump is required.

        ◆ Do not operate beyond the rated allowable pressure differential.

        ◆ Do not extract the liquid.

        ◆Do not extract gases containing solid particles or excessive dust; the pump inlet must be equipped with a filtration device.

         Note:

        1) Technical specifications under standard air conditions;

        2) The limit pressure refers to the lowest stable partial pressure of air obtained after thorough evacuation at the unit's inlet.

        3) Inlet and outlet flange standard: HG20592 PN10

        4) The performance metrics were determined under the condition that the forepump is a two-stage rotary vane vacuum pump.
